.......I hit the lip and launched in to a one handed killer double forward, the crowd went wild, Polakow knew he was beaten... then the phone went waking me out of me sleep, it was Kelvin raving about how excellent its going to be today. He said forget the big kit, get the Naish ready! Anyway, we lobbed all the gear in his van and made our way to Porthcawl to be greated by a few of the lads, cross on wind and waves. We got out and the wind just got stronger and stronger and I was having control problems which resulted in some MASSIVE award winning catapults. Apart from the out of control sailing (mainly due to not being able to get enough downhaul on) it gave me a chance to really see what my new Naish gear was like. I can confirm that the board is seriously fast, slashy and a true 'on the fin' design. A few adjustments to the fin made all the difference. A few more sessions like this and I may even be attempting some big air like Kelvin and Jamie. Excellent session!
